St Michael CathedralAnother magnificent and enjoyable place to visit while visiting Brussels is St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral which is a Roman Catholic Church located at the Treurenberg hill in Brussels. The church’s existence is known to go beyond 1040s, thus, even if it has undergone through several renovations to replace some of the aging structures, it is still a source of ancient history. The church has several towers with its southern tower containing forty nine bell carillon made by the Royal Eijsbouts Bell Foundry.

The church’s strategic location at the capital city and its rich history has made it ideal to be used for various catholic ceremonies which have national interest such as state funerals and royal marriages.
